My name is Deana L. Greenfield and I am an instructional designer who specializes in developing engaging user experiences. I’ve worked in higher education over 15 years in faculty and staff roles.
I view design as an extension of teaching in that both are modes of communication. My teaching background showed me how important it is to be able to connect with a wide variety of audiences, including people who may process information far differently than myself. I’ve taken that knowledge and applied it directly to my user experience and design work.

I employ user research as a tool to identify the skills, knowledge, background and preconceptions of an audience. Through use-case exploration, interviews, and task analysis, I tailor my design to speak directly to an audience and achieve the desired outcome.
