Instructor-Led Courses & Training Development
Recruiter OrientationSummary
We developed training videos to support the onboarding of new recruitment volunteers for a national association. Content was informed by a needs analysis and the development of clear learning objectives. Background The American Library Association (ALA) grant funded initiative, the Knowledge Alliance, has deployed racially and ethnically diverse early-career librarians to over 70 career and graduate education fairs targeting students from underrepresented groups. Knowledge Alliance "Allies" needed easily accessible online training to prepare them to recruit students into the field of librarianship. Opportunity New recruiters were overwhelmed by traditional text based informational handouts. DLG Designs was hired to create informational videos to explain the recruiting process and the program expectations. |

Instructor-Led Courses
Summary
We developed complete asynchronous online courses with resources that could also be used for synchronous instructor-led sessions. Courses were deployed within both the Blackboard and Desire2Learn learning management systems (LMS) and were certified by the international quality assurance program Quality Matters (QM). Background A private non-profit university needed information literacy courses which could be used for face-to-face, blended, and fully online instruction. Opportunity DLG Designs collaborated with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design and develop university-level online course materials to be used within a learning management system (LMS). |
